Restaurants Townsville Review – Yongala Lodge Restaurant

One of the most unique restaurants Townsville is home to is the delightful, heritage listed Yongala Lodge in North Ward.

Nestled in Fryer Street straight up from the Water Park on Townsville’s Strand, Yongala is a building of true charm.  It was built in 1884 by one of the founding business families of Townsville, and you can just feel the history as you enter across the classic verandas.  The main building – which is the original huge homestead – houses the restaurant and function rooms.  Modern accommodation units have been built at the rear.

Restaurants Townsville gives Yongala 9/10.  Great food, service and a truly romantic old-world venue.  Highly Recommended.
